I have a horrible fear of my brain turning into mush.
I’m a little obsessed about it actually.
I may or may not have researched & downloaded infant lesson plan forms when Brandt was 5 weeks old.
I love to learn. I want Brandt to love to learn.
I also have a terrible fear that some mean ol’ teacher is going to crush my baby’s heart and soul and squelch his love of learning.
So, I’m starting early.
Messes don’t bother me.
I try to be a clean, neat, organized person.
But who am I kidding.
Play that gets a little really messy doesn’t bother me.
Anyways, I’m an advocate of sensory play.
I believe that it encourages development & cognitive skills, builds confidence, improves motor skills, & teaches children to share and interact with others.
Never too early to start, right?
This week was Brandt’s first “official” sensory play experience. We experimented with yogurt.
It was so much fun to see him learn.
He just kind of looked at it and then touched it but made a “Im not so sure about this” face.
Then all of a sudden he made a“This is the best day of my life!” face.
